Demon Theif review (2008-06-18) The wonderful Demonata series continues...I absoloutly adore the way Darren Shan has gone back in time to the 1970's in this story- feature at least one character from the previous book who we all know as Dervish Grady as a punk, a new recruit to the Demon slaying team of Disciples.Buy the book- it's brilliant.
not as good as the last one i read..but GREAT (2008-02-28) I read this book after reading the fifth (or fourth?) series of the demomnata - Bec as it was displayed in the library and ididnt actaully realzie it was a series so I kind of jumped ahead.reading backwards, the quality of this book is lower compared but still has the same twists and turns as bec. And because I read bec first, i got a few mroe surprises when I read this book.leaves you thinking.great book!
Chilling (2008-01-31) a very un predictable tale with lots of gore and humorea fantastic shock @ the end of the bookcheers shan
Brilliant!! (2008-01-08) Wow, after reading the amazing "Lord Loss" I thought 'no way is Darren Shan going to be able to top with with his next book' - but he did!! This book was even better than the first! Despite the fact that this was not about Grubbs this time, which I was dissappointed with, this is still a brilliant book, and as ususal with a Darren Shan book it was so good I read it in one day. I doesn't even matter that it is a different set of charcters because, Kernal is a really likeable character, too.Fantastic book, extremely suspecefull and imaginative (and gory!). The perfect sequel (or is it a prequel?) to "Lord Loss".
lots of gore (2007-10-15) I started buying Darren Shan books for my son after the cover of Lord Loss caught my eye, now we're both hooked!Demon Thief is a fast paced book with plenty of twists, some I saw coming but it is aimed at young adults so thats understandable.I didn't enjoy this quite as much as Lord Loss, but having said that I couldn't put it down and can't wait for the next book.
