Once a skeptic, now a believer (2005-04-08) This fascinating CD contains nineteen different works of art performed by the Spanish Benedictine monks of Santo Domingo de Silos (I must admit that I do not really know what to call these chants). I remember when this album came out in 1994; I could not imagine that I would like such a thing, so I laughed at it and walked away. Well, I am now very sorry that I did. The chants themselves are soothing, and yet have a mystical fascination that demonstrates why the art form has survived so many centuries. Even though I started out a skeptic, I ended up loving this CD. If you are interesting in hearing a soothing, and yet captivating sound, then I highly recommend that you get this CD.
