Amazon.co.uk Review

It's Die Hard on a plane in this action thriller, starring Wesley Snipes as an anti-terrorist specialist whose early retirement is interrupted when his flight is overtaken by a bloodthirsty villain (Bruce Payne). Watching this at home is pretty much an excuse to order pizza and kick back, as the familiar rhythms of maverick-cop-versus-international-criminal take over and nothing new or fresh in the formula emerges. The supporting cast includes Elizabeth Hurley (Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery) as a gun-wielding, junior terrorist, which is fun simply for being unexpected. The release includes optional full-screen and widescreen presentations, Dolby sound, production notes and optional English, French and Spanish subtitles. --Tom Keogh

Synopsis

A crackerjack airplane security agent just happens to be sharing a plane ride with a captured airline terrorist. When the terrorist escapes and attempts a mid-flight takeover only John Cutter can stop him. Cutter finds more ways to hide and attack on the airliner than the terrorist or his band of henchmen ever imagined.

Should'nt get off the ground (2007-09-14)

This has got to be one of the worst films of all time. I enjoy a good action movie but this is definately not one. Such a shame as Wesley Snipes is normally ok but he must cringe if he see's this again. Under no circumstances watch this unless you are tired of life.
Die Hard Brother Version (2007-05-01)

his is a good film to watch if you need to kill 90 minutes. It does'nt require much thinking, its just a mindless shoot em up action thriller. Snipes was probably the best part of this movie giving a solid performance as an action hero. Bruce Payne is solid as the crazed terrorist Charles Rayne, and I thought Tom Seizmore gave a strong performance in this movie. The action scene's were good too, especially the part at the carnival. In all a very good action movie and is a good to watch if you dont want to watch something too long but entertaining.
Good Enough to Watch (2005-06-28)

I Have seen this Film Many times on Channel 5 still think its a great watch if your into the sort of thing like this Hijacked passenger jets then this is certainly a film to watch not the most thrilling but certainly worth watching.
Appalling, Dreadful and Appalling again (2005-01-10)

I would have given this film 1 star but it's not bad enough to be good. It's just naff in a way that Wesley Snipes pyjama bottoms, worn without a shred of explanation, can only hope to emulate. Consider the following scene at the start of the movie:

Plastic Surgeon to bad guy:I'm just putting you under anaesthetic..

Bad Guy:No anaesthetic

Plastic Surgeon:But the pain..

Bad Guy:There will be no pain.

Now, imagine you're plastic surgeon. I think your next move would be "Are you sure??" or "No, I think there will be pain. I've done this before, you know". It certainly wouldn't be to move your scalpel in a resigned fashion towards the cheek of your misguided patient. So in a way our surgeon friend deserves to be asked the question that becomes the bad guy's trademark, not to mention the question the audience are asking each other, "Have you got the time?"

(This question is a precursor to killing the surgeon. Although why go to a plastic surgeon, sit down, refuse anaesthetic, ask him what the time is, then jump up and slit his throat? I don't know. Please email me if you find out.)

Snipes at his best (2000-12-30)
