Editorial Reviews
Amazon.co.uk Review

It can be somewhat disconcerting to witness Jeff Healey encouraging his guitar to cry because, quite frankly, he plays it all wrong. Rather than dangling it from his shoulder and jabbing it from his crotch in the accepted phallic fashion, he rests it across his lap and taps out blues figures to make your heart bleed. While reasonably akin to witnessing a negligent artiste endeavouring to blow into a cello, you have to admit that the resultant sonic confection is rarely short of awe-inspiring. Which is nice. Get Me Some finds the Toronto-born guitarist, blind since developing eye cancer at the age of one, operating at the very peak of his form. Fret pyrotechnics occasionally flutter into the peerless arena of Stevie Ray Vaughan's finest fluidity, while the material perpetually sparkles with vibrant crescendos. From the blazing "Which One" to the poignant "Rachel's Song", Get Me Some is pure genius. --Ian Fortnam

Simply breathtaking (2008-09-23)

This album is awesome. Simple as. The quality of the songs, the guitarplay, everything basically, is just so good that it's hard to believe. In fact, if you asked me to pick my favourite song off it, I'd be stumped. "My Life Story" is awesome, as is "Macon Georgia Blue"...but for heartfelt emotion, you can't go far wrong with "Rachel's Song" which takes on a really poignant edge following his untimely death earlier this year. Jeff may be dead, but his music will live on. Vaya con dios Jeff.
Jeff Healey's best album! (2004-02-05)

Jeff's first album "See the light" remains a guitar lovers classic but I really love the singing on this album. The guitaring almost takes a back seat I love his singing so much on this one. Some of the songs are very emotional.Your wife will like this one!Great production and a hugely enjoyable album.YipeeeeeeeeeeeUpdate April 2008.Following Jeff's tragic death last month I listened again to the song "Rachel" written for his lovely daughter, it was very sad just to listen to this and appreciate the music Jeff left behind.
you'll love it (2000-08-23)

This album is a stunning mix of blues, rock and pop. Jeff Healey has a great voice and his guitar playing is simply amazing. On the track Macon Georgia Blue he shows his diversity by ripping into some fantastic Django-like arpeggios. I think any fans of 'real' music will love this album.... What more can I say?
