Zulu Wars

It has been researched in depth, and much attention to historical detail has been paid. Much Zulu information is based upon folk-lore and lengend passed down over time, but you are able to believe that what you are being told is, in all probability, how it actually happened.

There is fantastic footage of the Zulu and their culture, customs and heritage, and the battle scenes are recreated rather well (not just Anglo-Zulu battles, but Zulu/Zulu and Zulu/Boer).

The line of ascendence to the Zulu throne is also recounted. The Gatling Gun and canons, used to devastating effect at Ulundi, are also examined, as is the ZULU counterpart weapon, the ASSEGAI (and the history of its creation by Shaka).

Some reconstruction is done that well, that it looks like feature film footage, such as you'd see on the SHAKA ZULU or ZULU DAWN movies. There is also modern day footage of Isandhlwana and Rorke's Drift.

The running time is approximately 156 minutes.

If you have an interest in the ZULU WARS this is a must buy for any collector.

The reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because I think, in order to make this a more fully completed account of the Zulu, they could have devoted a little time to, for example, KAMBULA, ESHOWE...

But perhaps that's being overly critical. This is an interesting, quality production, and well worth the price.
