Description

SHAMANIC DREAM--like all of Anugama's albums--is an adventure in sound design. While seeming completely organic, even primitive, this award-winning opus is carefully orchestrated to enhance one's mental state and induce relaxation through various audio technologies. His "Brainwave Sync" technology uses a frequency that oscillates from the left speaker to the right speaker, supposedly slowing brainwave activity. Computer-generated overtones are said to "nourish the brain". Sounds from nature, human heartbeats, and vocal chants producea nurturing and calming effect. "Planet Sound Induction" replicates the frequency generated by the earth's rotation, thus putting the listener in synch with the planet and cosmos.
On top of all this is the artful use of traditional acoustic instruments--guitars, flutes, keys, and drums--that provides the musical content, in this case, tribal rhythms withgentle melodies. Does this Frankenstein approach work? Absolutely--SHAMANIC DREAM is a profound listening experience that enriches any meditative pursuit.

This is so beautiful and peaceful, relaxing. As an artist I am always searching for music to assist the flow of creative energy and this is a most played favourite(along with shamanic dream vol 1). This music really helps to connect you to higher states of awareness, dreamtime. Highly recommended.

I first heard thuis album in a car driving through the new mexico high desert. It induced a mild altered state of consciousness. i thought the music was beautiful, gentle and spoke to an part of me that doesn't get spoken to often. i kept playing it back in the UK and it touches me every time in the same way. Calming, meditative, stretching towards higher levels of consciousness. great music for calming children too.

really good (2004-02-19)

I loved this cd, Shamanic Dream Vol.2 is to me a perfect cd to relax to. It is as good as Vol.1, looking forward to Vol.3.

Spiritural thoughts.... (2004-02-10)

I heard this CD played at a Healing Circle I went to recently at a health farm in the UK and was so overcome that I had to buy it for myself as I thought it was very peaceful and spiritural and totally relaxed me in every way. If you are in to Reiki or healing, then buy this CD, you will love it the way it transforms you!
