Amazon.co.uk Review
Disney has once again "sequelised" a classic feature with Cinderella II: Dreams Come True. With smart foresight, the filmmakers choose to go with three snappy short films to comprise this 73-minute feature with the Fairy Godmother granting wishes to various characters. In the opening short, Cinderella must pursue life as queen. Several feathers are ruffled as she brings her down-home ways to the castle (bring the commoners in and open those darn curtains). In the other tales, one of Cinderella's animal pals receives a chance to see the world quite differently and finally, Anastasia, Cinderella's formerly evil stepsister, finds love with a little help. As with the other sequels, the look of the film helps bring the distance between the original and the sequel (here over 50 years) come together seamlessly. Little ones from age four to nine should be entertained while purists may be a bit aghast. --Doug Thomas, Amazon.com

Customer Reviews
a poor sequel (2003-12-16) Not the best disney film and to be honest it's a bit of a disappointment after the fantastic 1st Cinderella film. There's not much of a story line and the film is broken up into a few short stories. However the kids will probably enjoy it.
A very good choice (2003-11-24) I suppose my summary of this DVD film would be; "not as good as the original Cinderella, but very good". I have a five-year-old daughter who loves this film like no other. The story keeps her entertained, the DVD interactive games amuse her for a good long while and she enjoys the read-along section too. For those raining English winter days, this is some of the best money I ever spent. Well worth the money.
Not what I hoped for! (2003-10-14) I am a huge Disney fan and since Cinderella is my favorite animated movie ever, I wanted my little 3-year-old girl to have the sequel so that we can enjoy it together. Unfortunately not only that I did not like the story but the animation was very bad, too. It has somewhat discrased the original movie and I cannot see the characters in the same light any more. I wish that I didn't have to say this, but it looks almost as if Disney was trying to get some quick cash without much effort and that definitely is not what Disney is (or should be) about. If they could only make a remake of this one...
The worst animated film Disney ever done (2002-07-16) I got this DVD thinking that it is the original Cindrilla, but i found somthing I did not expect from Dysney . The music is not interresting and there is not even a single song or melody that I enjoyed or wanted to hear again . the story nothing in compare to other films like Lion King or Beauty & the Beast or any other animated film from Disney, or even any of thos made in the thirties and fourties. It is a mistake which I hope that Disney would not repeat again .
Why did they do this? (2002-02-19) I found the original Cinderella my favourite Disney film by far and was eagerly awaiting this release. I shouldn't have as althought the loveable characters where still there such as Gus the plot had to be restricted by the need for the classic "happy ever after" image.I think younger viewers whould appreciate this classic's sequel but maybe i have to admit that im just too old for the Disney magic anymore.
