Good but could have been better. (2005-01-22)

This DVD turned me from a music fan who knew about Bush into a now devoted Bush fan and that is exactly who this DVD is for. If you're like many in Britain who have little knowledge of Bush other than the lead singer is married to Gwen Stefani this will provide you with a good insight to the band and understand what they're about.

The DVD features most of the Bush videos but misses a few such as Mouth, Personal Holloway and Cold Contagious. All of these are in decent picture quality with good sound but nothing to write home about. The headlining Woodstock'99 performance is the main event of the product and Bush pull off a performance of a lifetime. A slight note about the performance though, this is NOT the full concert as it says on the box, it misses a fair few songs predominately from the Science of Things album and the editing of the concert is poor.

The "extras" are a good edition also, especially the Alleys and Motorways promotional trailer. This documentary shows the band throughout their debut album to the release of their second, showing the life of a rock band. Great enjoyment but makes you want the full thing and unfortunately it's no longer available in Europe.

Overall: Great DVD for a newcomer but for an established Bush fan maybe a little repetative. Shame the concert was edited too!

I bought this DVD following the purchase of the Bush's video 'Alleys and Motorways.' I enjoyed the video a lot. This DVD had excerpts of the video, but Trauma left out the songs on the DVD that were at the end of the video. This disappointed me and I'm sure a lot more Bush followers.

The concert footage was amazing - the best viewing of a Bush Concert I've seen. The crowd and song quality was outstanding. The problem I have is with the DVD system - you cant 'search' from one song to another. You have to scroll through or back through the concert. So if your favourite song is Little Things (An amazing song which is the last song of the concert) your right finger is gonna start hurting. I feel Trauma didnt do Bush favours - and this DVD proved it. 4/5 is justified - Bush were, but should still be Britains biggest export.

Fan-tastic! (2002-10-22)

I recently bought this DVD and was not disapointed! Bush are one of the few hard rock/grunge bands left on the planet that havent given in to nu-metal. 1994-1999 is a spectacular DVD that shows the videos for all the UK released singles (my cousin claims to be in the 'machinehead' video) and also contains footage for the making of the video for 'the chemicals between us'. If you've never had the pleasure of seeing bush live, this DVD also offers their live woodstock set from 1999, which in my opinion is good enough to be a DVD on its own! if you're a bush fan, i DEFINATELY recommend this DVD so what are you waiting for? - order it!
