Customer Reviews
Very Good (2008-07-05) I've owned these scales for a while now. I love the sleek design and zero function !! So easy to use and appear to be very accurate. I like the fact that I can put a bowl on it, press zero, pour in my contents and it gives me my reading. If you are making a mix that requires multiple items, you could click zero again and add the next item.
Not what I would expect from Salter (2008-02-15) I purchased these scales because of the Salter brand - first mistake! The first scales weighed 2-3 times actual weight (fairly random). The replacement weighed a 250 gram block of butter as 1.787kg! Probably a defective batch from the Chinese supplier. I'm going to buy another brand.
Total failure! (2008-02-02) We bought this machine for use in our kitchen - when we opened the package there was a piece of paper inside told us that it might not work where microwaves, radio waves, mobile phones or similar radio equipement might be present - what kitchen does not have one or many of these in it. Anyway we turned it on and tested it on a 1kg (1000g) bag of flour. It told us it weighed in excess of 3000g (3k). Also we noticed it started weighing at 3g. So we sent it back from where it came.
best ever and easy to store (2007-12-09) this does everything you expect, looks sleek and takes up very little space - can't do better!
How to weigh small quantities (2007-12-07) All scales are more accurate in the middle of their range. If you want to weigh small quantities, put something on the scale that weighs about half the scale (e.g. when set to maximum 2kg, put on a litre of water = 1kg) then zero it. This will make the scales more accurate for the next thing you want to measure.
