The First 5 seconds where OK... (2006-07-12)

And then Adam F piped up and did not stop, I found this so utterly irritating that I could not even finish listening to it. There are some great beats on here and the transitions are really good, but this mans irritating voice with his monotonous inaudible pointless ramblings destroyed what could have been an enjoyable D'n'B experience. On the first track he says "how much can you take?", trust me, not much.
A brilliant mix of dark and heavy dnb tracks.. (2003-12-12)

A continually face paced, non stop blaze of dark and furious mixes.

From the very first tune, you can tell that Adam F and Fresh have done a good job, the seamless blend from one track to another works perfectly and interspersed between the real heavy hitters like 'Get Ill', 'Temple of Doom', 'Foundation', and 'Stand Clear' (with its brilliant classical intro by Redman). To the more 'fun' (mental) tracks like 'Mash up the Place'.Constantly evolving and improving, this double CD is only let down by the slightly annoying interference of MC GQ, but this is a minor point. Simply drop in, watch the switch and f**k it up to this brilliant mix by a truly talented Adam F (and this aint even his best stuff!).

Close but no cigar (2003-11-17)

I had such high expectations for this album. I love some of the mixing, especially the 'Vault' to 'Warning' mix on Disc 1 and the 'T-10' to 'Nitrous' mix. My biggest disappointment is MC GQ. As said before he is a great MC live, every rave i've seen him at has been great, but this has no heart behind it. Another thing that annoyed me was the fact that the Redman remix is the intro and that's it!! But there are some wicked tunes: Mampi Swift's Play Me, Tali Lyric on my lip, Distorted Minds T-10, Dillinja's 'Warning', Fresh's Signal, Pendulum's 'Vault, Adam F's Dirty Harry, DJ Hype's Mash up the place and Roni Size's Scrambled Eggs to name a few. If I was contemplating buying this or Andy C's Nightlife I would definitley buy Andy C, I can't fault it!
DJ Fresh & Adam F save the day..... (2003-10-23)

.....Because there are 2 things that absolutely destroy the 2 amazing sets, preventing instant 5 star status. The first and most obvious is MC GQ's awful contribution to the show. He IS a wicked MC otherwise but its obvious that this wasnt recorded live together with the sets and his timing, especially, and lyrics near enough ruin both sets.

Secondly there are those annoying, pointless, robotic lyrics and I'm sure its Redman, and his 'Kaos Mother F*****!!!' bursts, throughout. Okay a few times is acceptible, but this happens so much it nearly makes you want to stop the CD. Its that bad.

But as with all things Jungle Drum & Bass, its all about the tunes, and although Adam F has a very strong set, its the master himself, Fresh BC, who makes this a worthy buy. Showcasing his own tunes and mixing them to full effect, with a brilliant pace and precision, Fresh will not let you breathe. check out his own 'Dalicks', 'Temple of Doom', 'Signal' and especially, 'Formula One', all of which, are available on vinyl now. I particulaly loved the way 'Temple of Doom' was suddenly cut out and 'Formula One' instantly introduced with its 'leave it out' Frank Butcher voice. Marvellous.

Tunes to rince on Adam F's set would have to include DJ Hype's 'Mash Up Da Place' and 'Foundation', while DJ Clipz's 'Cuban Linx' is a truly inspiring tune. Wasnt too sure about Roni Size's own 'Trust Me RMX', but it kinda grows on you.

Certainly worth buying ONLY for the tunes.

massive tunes (2003-10-09)

Wicked Djing, fat mixing, heavy tunes but mc GQ gets on my nerves. It is worth buying for the tunes, best tune is twist em out remix
