Makes cleaning patios and driveways easy (2004-06-20)  I recently purchased and used this product from Amazon and it is great. In the past i have used other pressure washers and have found cleaning the patio and driveway took a long time and used a lot of water.However, this kit from Karcher contains the T-Racer patio cleaning attachment which basically is the size of a large dinner plate and the water is fed down to it and rotates a blade with two jet nozzles within the enclosed unit. The result is brilliant cleaning power with no messy muddy spray-out as the water is contained in the attachment and an area the size of the cleaner head is cleaned in seconds. The gain to the user is two-fold in that you get the job done much quicker and use a lot less water in the process.You also get a Dirtblaster attachment which basically produces an intensly focused jet for 50% more cleaning power than the standard lance which is also supplied.It was impossible for me to find a diy shed that sold a Karcher kit plus patio cleaner attachment and i had heard about the patio cleaner from a Which article which recommended it - so i wanted to purchase one - Well done Amazon! for stocking it.As another reviewer has pointed out the K297 is not hugely powerful at 1300w but combined with the T-Racer it is more than adequate for cleaning patio and driveway slabs. When you take into account the cost of the T-Racer and Dirtblaster alone this kit from Amazon is exceptional value for money.
Splash Free Cleaning (2004-05-26) I am pleased with my purchase of the Karcher K 297 M Tracer. The K 297 M is not the most powerful pressure washer, but it was easy to put together, comes with the dirt blaster attachment which boosts the cleaning power. The real reason for my purchase was the T Racer attachment. We had been disappointed with our old pressure washer when we had used it to clean the expanse of concrete round our house. We spent longer cleaning all the splashes off our doors and patio windows than we did cleaning the concrete. The T Racer is so much better it really works. No more splashes and dirt to clean off the doors etc and a good cleaning result to boot. It can even be used to clean walls and fences. All in all a good package for my family and for most people that do not need heavy duty and high volume cleaning. At the price I would say it was a bargain.
