The Lord of the wing (2006-03-19) I bought this DVD in the week that Jimmy Johnstone sadly passed away. I only wished i had bought it sooner, The DVD is interspersed with excellent footage from the 60's and 70's but also footage from early 2002 and interviews with a number of the worlds greatest players, Eusebio, Charlton, Cruyff, Di Stefano. But also Martin O'Neill, Alex Ferguson and others. The Modern day footage is a mix of Jimmy recounting his escapades, but also of the humility in which he tries (as he played), with courage, conviction and the heart of a Lion to overcome MND. One of the best parts of the film is the insight into Jimmy the Fan, who walks around outside Celtic Park on a Match day in his element, taking time to talk with everyone. This video charts Jimmy's career with Celtic and Scotland, his escapades and his fight against MND, This film will make you laugh, cry and gaze in awe at Celtic greatest ever player. This is a true must for every celtic fan around the world.

Powerful, new biography of one of the greatest footballer's. (2004-07-28) Lord of the Wing - the true story, warts and all, of the greatest entertainer the world of football has EVER seen. From the 'Jungle' at Parkhead to the sun-kissed terraces of Lisbon, Jimmy Johnstone was a God with a leather football at his feet. Mesmerising twists and turns left the game's greatest defenders close to tears.....and Celtic fans laughing in wonderment. But true geniuses inevitably follow a chequered path off-the-field and Jinky was no exception. Alcoholism came close to destroying his career and, almost, his life. But for millions of Celtic supporters and genuine football fanatics, the lasting memory of Jimmy Johnstone is of his incredible skills as he destroyed Red Star Belgrade, Real Madrid, Rangers and many, many more. In this biographical film, which contains footage from the many highlights of his footballing days, Sir Alex Ferguson, Eusebio, Johann Cruyff, Denis Law, Terry Cooper and, in an astonishingly rare interview, Alfredo DiStefano (amongst many other stars of football), pay tribute to this enigmatic character. To a man, they agree that "we will never see his like again".
