Excellent bird table (2006-01-14)

I bought this hanging bird table for my garden for the smaller birds. I have placed a fence post into the ground and screwed this to the top and painted it the same colour as my garden and it looks fab. It is excellent. The smaller birds love it and so do the squirells. Yes squirells fit inside this bird table.Its a nice size. Very easy to assemble. Excellent buy. Worth every penny.

Perfect for small birds (2005-12-02)

Easily assembled in a few minutes, and you have a natural coloured table which blends into any garden.

Any bird much bigger than a robin won't use this table. Its too small and will swing if they try and perch on the edge.

The first reviewer on this page has remarked, tongue in cheek, I have to assume, on the "superb" finish on this. It is true that the wood is a bit rough, and that it is not perfectly constructed (well mine isn't, but It is partially self-assembly so that may not be completely the manufacturer's fault!) However, It's sturdy, cheap and compact and the birds will eat off this just as well as they will off any more expensive table that you can get. It can't be that bad, Mine's still fine 6 months after I got it. As it is so small and hangs off the wall it's ideal for a really small back garden or yard, you just need the sort of bracket you'd use for a hanging basket.

Don't be put off by the label "self assembly". The most difficult bits of construction are already done, you only have to screw the uprights to the base and the roof, which takes all of ten minutes, and the only tool you need is a single screwdriver.

If you spend more you'll get a nicer-looking bird table, I'm sure, but it does everything I want it to do and it is excellent value for money.

Hanging bird table (2005-01-24)

I was sent the hanging bird table as a surprise present as I am always feeding the birds and already had a table I was not sure at first about this one, but I have hung it on the corner of my shed and the birds soon found it. It is especially good for the small birds ie blue tits and robins the starlings do try but they dont appear to be able stay on it easily.

Good quality worksmanship allround (2004-10-24)

As Mini Hanging Bird Tables go this is a classic. It's gently sloping wood roof encompasses a quality product taking many man hours to assemble piece by piece, culminating in a superb finish which is notable not just in the gothic arches around its base, but it's superb plastic couthangeresque hanger which fits snugly around any convenient branch. A must have for any Bird Table enthusiast - and its self assembly too. What more could u ask for?
