Great Heater But Is It New? (2008-10-08)

The heater itself is very good. Easy to use and quiet, it clicked once as it warmed up for the first time. I use it in my outbuildings which have no heat and it maintains a steady temperature. I also like the way it goes into low power mode to keep the heat constant. The problem I have with this item is that I specifically ordered a new one and the one I received from amazon had been opened and selataped shut. The Instructions were open as was the remote control and the plug had been unwrapped. This would suggest this item had been used. The castors showed signs of use and there are screwdriver marks on the control panel suggesting it has been removed. I contacted amazon and they are sending me a replacement "new" item. I will wait and see.

Damage Issues (2008-03-21)

Received the product very quickly but was damaged!! So sent it back and as usual amazon sent the second oil filled radiator the next day and hurray!!! that had minor damage also??? Didnt bother sending it back as it was a minor issue!! However was dissapointed with the delivery company that Amazon use as they have a habit of damaging the radiator in transit!! Spoke to the person at Amazon, she was helpfull but gave me the wrong address to send the product to? I sussed out the right address and sent it there otherwise i would have had to pay extra for delivery to the wrong address!!! Overall not to happy with the service and product but will manage!!!!

Very Noisy and badly thought out controls (2008-03-06)

Don't buy if you need peace and quiet!The heating effect is excellent but I have to join in the complaints about the noises. When I chose it those reviews is see now were not online. Rather than return it to Amazon I got an authorised service centre to look at it and even though it was eventually replaced the new unit has started making the same noises (they do seem to come and go to some extent). This drives me nuts in the office where it is used but I'm glad I'm not currently sound recording with it on.The other main issue is the controls. Going from heating (either manual or timed) to frost guard for the night involves myriad button pushes as you have to reduce the temp setting to minimum and then reset in the morning - very poor.I also find the lowest heat setting seems to do nothing (try leaving on it for a few hours).

Hairless (2008-03-03)

Just wanted to join the noise debate and perhaps help clarify things. We ordered two of these radiators, one for each of our children's bedrooms, we ran them full tilt as requested before use and immediately it became apparent that one runs with no noise at all whilst the other clanks and bangs like you wouldn't believe. We have now put them in the children's bedrooms and they have continued in the same vein. We will be requesting a replacement from Amazon for the one that makes the noise as there is obviously a fault based on the other one making no sound at all. 4th Mar. New one on the way so fingers crossed won't have the noise problem (it did disturb my youngest child on occasion it was so loud). Would recommend anyone having noise problems to get a replacement. If this new one is as quiet as the other one then I would rate it 4 or 5 stars now that I have used the product.

top heater! Love it, so much that i bought one for my girlfriend as a Valentines gift :) (2008-02-28)

ok,spent in total 1 week to find out the best of the best:) It does great job of heating even at lowest settings, very economical an it's QUIET!!! first you just have to run it for several hours on full power to burn out the "factory" smell and to get liquid oil to settle how it likes.paintwork on soldered parts cracks only first time, which causes noises(it's normal), than never again. Little clicks of ECC and on/off even lighter than you can have with conventional heaters.Another thing about those monsters- they are hungry and burning oxygen which is not good at all for your babys and your night sleep giving headaches and dry skin rushes.So go for this one!!! it's half price,long life,money worth,practical,powerful,less hazardous than others,healthy and good looking!P.S. when you transport it or shake make sure you run it on full power again for another hour or so.(This will stop noises of oil settling in further use)thats it. Buy it now for rainy days, so you don't need to have main heating on and definitely for next season(it will go back up in price)
