Manufacturer's Description
The HD2626 is a durable high quality stainless steel toaster, which ensures excellent toast (quick, crispy and equally browned). The durability refers to the material, the lifetime of the appliance and the level of quality testing insisted on by Philips. Other high quality elements are the soft touch buttons, the smooth sliding lever and the clicking thermostat knob. The toast slots are capable of fitting all types and sizes of bread. This toaster also has a built in warming rack to extend its use, you can warm up croissants and rolls in a few minutes.
Customer Reviews
Looks good, works lousy (2008-07-09) This toasts white bread to a cinder even at the lowest setting. On one side. Whichever slot I use the bread is toasted more on one side than the other. Not a good buy.
Top Toaster (2008-05-12) What can one write about a toaster except that it works efficiently day after day producing excellent toast. I use it for toasting things such as 'Hot Cross Buns' as well as bread and there is no problem. An excellent toaster well worth the purchase price.
Rusty toaster (2008-02-20) I purchased this toaster in November of last year...and it has already gone rusty! I have not cleaned the outside of the toaster using a cleaning product neither has it been near water! Very dissapointing!
A toaster that does the job! (2008-02-05) This is a fantastic toaster, not only in it's performance but also it's looks! Golden, crunchy toast, what more can one ask for?
Burnt Toast (2008-02-01) I bought this toaster on the strength of the previous reviews. It looks good. Seems well made. But even on the lowest browning setting of 1 the toast burns. Also the inner facing side of the bread toasts a lot faster than the outer side.Maybe I have a faulty toaster.I did try to ring Philips Guarantee department, but was held in a queue for ages, then when answered was told that particular department was very busy & so they would ring me back. As yet I have not been rung back. Therefore I have already ordered the Bosch toaster, also from Amazon. So lets see how my new Bosch performs when it arrives.
