Great idea! (2006-07-17) I wish I had invented this product! Its very easy to put up and doesn't need a team of workmen to do it! Though to be honest I was at first on the verge of selling it as I couldn't get the canopy into the dome shape - I just didn't seem to be strong enough. I had help from a couple of male friends and this has stretched the fabric out of its "newness" and it now takes me 10 minutes to having it completely attached to the car. A couple of tips that aren't in the carnopy instructions and I have found are the key to erecting it is that you need with the pole at the back (the one that attaches to the car) to push one of the loops right over the pole first, attach the loop at the other end over the hook then push the other loop back to the hook on the first end. Then when the fibre poles are in place make sure the last hook you put in is the lower pole as this then pushes up the other pole to make the dome. Also, don't ever pull the fibre poles, always push them as if they get caught up the elastic will break!Side panels are also available but I haven't got those yet. They look very easy to put up too. The only downside I can see with these is that it has a very large window which is ok for most people but I need to shelter the rear of my car for when I leave my dog at shows, but this is a minor thing that can be got round. It all folds up very neatly into a bag that fits into the car boot and is light to carry. I'm pleased I bought this rather than getting a tent type thing or a gazebo.
