Fantastic product (2008-04-28)

I bought this to help me with interviews. It is surprisingly the same size as Sony Ericsson W810 mobile phone. It is very easy to use, I like the fact that you can adjust the playback speed to slow or fast. I read the manual before installing the software and find it completely easy to use. It may have been updated though. Downloading files was straight forward as well. It doesn't work like an external storage. You can playback the files after downloading using Itunes or even WMPlayer. But only after downloading using the 'Digital Wave Player'. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great Recording Quality Let Down by Complicated File Transfer (2007-11-12)

I work as a freelance journalist and have found the recording quality of this device to be fantastic. It records up to two or three feet away even outside in fairly stormy conditions. What drives me mad is transferring the files to my PC afterwards. The software is complicated and seems to need reinstalling each time you want to transfer new material. It would be much easier if the device could simply be recognised as an external harddrive and I could then play the files through the audacity or itunes software I already have on my computer. But you can simply play the material back on the device itself. Overall, a great device let down by clunky software.

Excellent (2007-10-12)

So easy to use. PC link software to backup your recordings. bought for my wife to record some of her school tasks.Only downside is the pc link software is not Mac compatible, so the wife has to use my PC rather than her school issue Mac. Hence only 4 stars, but it's not necessarily the fault of the item itself.

A little disappointing.... (2007-07-20)

I ordered this Item from Deluxe Digital, and the one that they sent me was the wrong item first of all. I did not find the recording quality very good, it was much too easy to delete files and after 4 days of use the thing broke and would not turn on.

Fantastic Product (2007-05-31)

I bought this item to record interviews for a course I was doing. It is now something that I feel lost without and use on an almost daily basis. The battery life is fantastic. It's very straightforward to use and the recordings are clear. I particularly like the ability to slow the recording down when listening back. While the majority of the time I simply listen direct from the recorder, I have downloaded files. It worked easily enough but I do still need to get my head around the software that comes with it.
