Great clippers. (2008-08-27)

These clippers give a very fast, neat cut. The motor is much more powerful than rechargeable clippers which means a smoother and quicker cut. Individual guides for each hair length (number 1, 2, etc) are more effective than the adjustable guides you find on some clippers. Good value for money and an excellent product.

Nice kit. (2008-07-17)

This is a really nice kit, really. There are many accessories included and the clipper itself is strong and cuts perfectly. It's not too noisy as well which helps, and you can get really great results using it.The only thing I disliked about it was the plastic case quality... It is a really cheap plastic case! Wahl could've chosen a better plastic for the case, it would feel more sturdy and add to the professional feel of the whole kit.Indeed Wahl is the best you can get about hair clippers. I've seen barbers using it since I was a boy and time has gone and 10 years later it's still the brand that most barbers use. I can have a very good result with this clipper and I do the job all by myself with the help of a mirror.Definitely recommended and arrived on time.

Having read the positive reviews I took the plunge and bought this clipper set which I am absolutely delighted with.Its the first time I have ever used clippers and I felt confident about using them for the first time straight out of the box. I started as previously suggested with a high cut until I got a feel for them and worked my way down to a shorter cut that I was happy with.I expect to be using the clippers for a very long period of time and see no reason to upgrade to another set in the near future.

Does a professional job (2008-07-07)

This kit does a much better self cut than my old Babyliss set.Easy to handle and the button and blade lever are not easily knocked causing mistakes and bald patches.I have a short/medium style and it was so quick and easy to blend the back and sides into the longer hair on top with excellent results and no skill required!I did watch the supplied DVD for tips, but found it would only play properly with Videolan player on PC. In Windows Media Player the menu would freeze.Overall an excellent kit and a good price and will save having to go for expensive haircuts.

Nice solid clipper with good selection of accessories (2008-07-06)

Nice, sturdy, quality USA Wahl clipper. It has the reassuring buzz of the professional barber. Should last a lifetime (I hope). Good for all the reasons mentioned by other reviewers. Some of the accessories that I found useful/good might surprise you: the hair cape to protect your clothes, the sturdy plastic box that holds everything (packed full), DVD and instruction book, the left and right ear comb (wish that barbers would use these more), oil, little cleaning brush.Negatives are minor: beginners, beware of the fader lever - start with with a comb 2-4 sizes larger than you are aiming for, I'm not kidding. The DVD is disappointing with dragged out intros & a small number of odd hairdos. Some simple general guidelines, shorter instructions and more styles would be useful. The booklet seems old fashion but in some ways better than the DVD and with a different approach. The number combs are all plastic, not the metal backed versions used by some pros. Coloured combs would speed up the selection process (available as an accessory & with some other models). Metal-backed coloured combs might be the ultimate.
