All Shake No Roll (2008-01-04)

Saw these boys perform at the Radio 1 gig in Preston's Moor Park 07, they stole the show. Shakedown is tops in all accounts. Two sterling filled discs of dance, each track maintaining its own recognisable identity, yet all with one thing in common, the ability to make you dance. If you like dance you can't fail but to like this album. Dance music of the moment!

Hope For House (2007-09-08)

The first Freemasons track I heard ' Love On My Mind' was like a breath of fresh air and hoped that, unlike so many other artists/DJ's, this would not prove to be a 'One Hit Wonder'. I am now living in Sydney and heard that the Freemasons were playing a 3 hour set at the Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras 2007. This finally made my mind up to attend! They were absolutely awesome live - lightyears ahead of any of the other DJ's that appeared on the night. I then immediately purchased this CD, which came out a short time after. It is absolutely fantastic and brings back memories of Mardi Gras. With so much of this 'Electro' cr*p being played just about everywhere (huge in Sydney), I honestly believe that the Freemasons are perhaps the last defenders of the uplifting house sound. I say this because even many of the so-called megastar 'House' DJ's from the States, the UK and even Ibiza, appear to have lost their way and have introduced this god-awful 'Electo' sound on their latest releases. I understand times change. Believe me, I have been collecting dance music since the mid 70's and I thoroughly embrace change. Almost my entire collection of dance music over the last 30 years has a soulful/funky but always uplifting groove...after all, isn't that the point of going to a club - to feel uplifted/good? The Freemasons prove that there is indeed hope for house music, in this climate of dross. Anyone who feels the way I do about the current state of dance music and looking to feel uplifted, please don't hesitate for another second and buy this CD. Killer tracks for me have to be 'Mesmerised', 'Nothing But A Heartache', Shine' and Right Here Right Now'. That said, all the others are at least 8/10. Well done Freemasons. Keep the faith.

Freemasons- Shakedown (2007-08-25)

I discovered the Freemasons via other compilation CDs I bought and loved their style of music. It is not monotonous like other dance music can be. I decided to buy this CD and was not disappointed! It really is uplifting and cannot find a bad word to say about it. Excellent to walk/drive to as well.

If there is a better dance CD out there ... let me know... (2007-06-30)

This is quality, quality music. I thought this CD was excellent when I bought it 2 months ago. I just gets better every time I listen to it. The Freemasons never let fashion or originality get in the way of well produced sound.These tracks have taken raw material of various quality and pushed superb material out the other side. They seem capable of taking unpromising and lacklustre tracks and turning out gems you can dance to and listen to forever.Faves are "Deja Vu", "You're not alone now", "In my mind", but most of the tracks are great. If this album does not make you feel good, probably nothing will.

Accessible House at its best (2007-06-13)

The Freemasons are genius mixers - any decent club probably features at least one of their tracks or mixes at the moment. They are all-powerful! This brings together everything they have done and these CDs will stay in your player for a long time. Fantastic music for pre-clubbing, a party, a drive to the beach for...well.....wahtever. Simply the type of music that lifts you up. Top notch.
