The king of soul par excellence caught live (2007-06-17)

This DVD comprises video recordings of two live shows being Otis's groundbreaking performance at Monterey Pop in 1967 (for my money the much vaunted Hendrix and Who performances fade in comparison) and his appearance on a UK TV show which was during the historic Stax/Volt Revue Tour of the UK, so also includes recordings by Sam and Dave and Booker T & the MGs (who with the trio of the Memphis Horns back Otis on both shows here).Revel in the pace and emotion of the performances on show here with Otis clearly being at the top of his game and given the audience reactions realise why even with his untimely death post Monterey the man is still regarded as the king of soul.

Brilliant (2007-04-11)

This DVD is absolutely fantastic if you are a soul fan. Otis Redding had possibly the best voice on the soul circuit.The majority of the DVD was recorded live, with Sam and Dave, Booker T and the M.G's to add to the excitement.I love it, can't wait to watch it again . . .
