These lanterns are fabulous- we use them to remember my brother who died, and we write messages on the lantern on his birthday or anniversary,and then watch them float off into the night sky. It's a really positive thing to do to remember someone, and makes a hard day a lot easier. Definitely dont use in a built up area, as they do go up very fast and you cant control where they go, and dont use in windy conditions. Otherwise they are brilliant!

Marvelous... (2007-07-23)

These are wonderfull, they look brilliant and are great for social events. For my party I tied 8 of them together in a circle with thread and attached it to the top of the summer house with another piece of thread. it looked brilliant, it was about 5 meters above the summer house. I used the other 2 at glastonbury they go up really quickly and look really good disappearing into the sky like stars.

Glo Lanterns (2007-06-06)

These lanterns definitely have the wow factor. They were easy to launch and look fantastic as they rise up into the night sky. They accelerate fast and so high that in a matter of minutes they resemble a tiny star. I have to admit we found the speed at which they zoomed upwards slightly alarming and were worried about where they would land! As they only land when the flame has burnt out, however, I suppose there should be no problem...I would agree wholeheartedly with the manufacturer's recommendation that they are not launched in a built up area though.
