Norton 360 Speed Problems (2008-08-19)

I had a previous version of Norton on the computer and followed the instructions with the product to delete this before installing Norton 360. After installation I had very slow computer operation and long switch-on time. I contacted Symantek by EMail and their response said I needed to download their special routine to delete a previous Norton version. This did not improve matters. Many EMails were exchanged and procedures followed until deleting Norton files in a Temp location eventually enabled the computer to run at normal speed, but still takes 5 minutes to switch on. The problem is with the Norton file ccSvcHst.exe which demanded 96% of CPU time on my computer until the Temp files were deleted. It is obvious that Symantex do not provide proper instructions with the product and the design of Norton 360 makes it very difficult to achieve satisfactory computer operation and much help is needed from Symnatec Customer Services.D Canfield
Excellent Piece (2008-08-17)

Provides excellent internet security, free updates, user friendly and more and more features... Easy to install even though it takes some more time than the previous product. But it covers more area and therefore it overcomes that deficit. It gives maximum security and I highly recommend this product. I actually purchased the version 1 nearly 7 months back but recently it has been upgraded free to version 2 by Norton! ...Great news!!

i have been using norton antivirus software for many years and always found them very user friendly and reliable but i have to say that the norton 360 is the best yet , it has all the usual features that you would expect but with so much more, the back up system is a godsend if like me you have a lot of photos or files that are irreplaceable, the system will back them up automaticly so you will never loose them again, combined with the identity protection and the p c tune up feature you have total peace of mind, i would not consider using any other anivirus software apart from norton.
One of the Best (2008-08-15)

This is an excellent package. It works well and covers everything that you need for peace of mind and protection. I like the backup facility, which doesn't take long as once its done the first backup only backs up changes from then on. Checking what 360 has done while your not at your computer is ease and lets you manualy do things if you want.
A whole Sunday wasted trying to sort out problems caused by this (2008-07-24)

I bought and downloaded version 2.0 without knowing Symantec had removed the pop-up blocking component. I then started logging on to sites I had used for three years without problems and all of a sudden, in the blank spaces were adverts. I could not stop them despite adjusting my blocking settings to maximum and had to contact Symantec via a chat room type thing. Everything they suggested I had already done and still nothing would solve the advert problem so after some time they then logged onto my pc, removed 360 version 2.0 and installed version 1.0. I could not do this myself with my own basic home-user technical ability: version 1.0 would not install while I still had 2.0, but it would not let me remove it while version 1.0 was trying to load up. Eventually version 1.0 was installed and it was a nightmare, slow in everything it did. Finally I did a back-up but when it had reached 6% after 25 minuted I decided I was not going to put up with this for the £120 and two years I had paid for and abandoned it. Now I've reclaimed my money and I'm looking elsewhere.
