I bought this for my adult dogs. It can get cold at night and a bit of extra heat keeps them warm and snug.

A warm puppy sleeps all night (2007-09-30)

My new puppy was yelping and howling for hours at night, when I left him. Since using the heat pad, he settles quickly, without yowling, and sleeps for long periods of time. He now goes into his crate willingly during the day for a nap.
