Another great addition to the series! (2008-06-10) The sims bon voyage is the excelent new expansion pack to the sims, adding the ability to allow your sims to journey to new places (Similar to the on vacation expansion for the first sims game). It adds many new features (such as a bow interaction which can be learned while in a Japan themed vacation) to greatly increase the fun factor of the game, problably more than any other expansion (excluding my favorite, the pets expansion!).
Another great Sims 2 expansion pack (2008-03-19) I had the original Sims games with a couple of the expansion packs, the Sims on Holiday included. The original Sims on Holiday was one of my favourites of the expansion packs I owned and I was glad that they finally brought it out with the Sims 2. Yes it's very similar to the Sims on Holiday but it's great. There are three holiday destinations and a number of different holidays to stay in once you get there all with different price ranges. Of course there is the option of camping. At each destination there are a number of activities that you can take your Sims on, such as a helicopter tour. When I first played it I took my Sims on a helicopter tour and was disappointed when I realised you didn't actually go on the tour!Several people have commented about the graphics of the game, and I have never had a problem. All in all though another amazing Sims 2 expansion packs.
Buy at your own risk. (2008-02-17) I am truly annoyed with EA right now. Having read the reviews about problems with the Secu-rom software that comes with this expansion pack, I decide to download the patch for Bon Voyage. I had not had any previous problems with the game, but wanted to make sure I didn't get any crashes. Now I find that all of the icons for The Sims 2 have disappeared from my desktop and the CD will not run. This has to be the most ridiculous patch ever produced. It's such a shame, because up until this point The Sims 2 was ace. If I am not able to reinstate the program on my PC then I will likely be uninstalling the lot.
hmmm... (2008-02-17) Although this game was fantastic at first and all the new add ons such as jewelery and new clothes and obviously being able to go on holiday are fun. The hoildays become slightly repetive and i find if i go on holiday for more than 3 days i am bored and want to cut my vacation short to come back home again. Another immensely annoying thing is that when i found out you could collect the memories i decided i would collect all 45 which is not easy and quite costly! When i finally collected all the memories nothing happened! nothing at all! i collected no aspiration points, no money it didn't even make them any happeier. So although this game has many great features and points don't buy if you want some kind of a goal to acheive for that my fav will always be open for business!
Do Not Buy !!!!! (2008-01-30) My daughter bought and installed this and within 5 minutes was having problems with the quality of graphics, which increasingly turned 'blocky'.The next restart of the computer resulted in a BSOD and a good few hours of struggling to get the computer back to normal. I subsequently checked out the internet for comments on the game and was astonished to find that these sort of problems were widespread and well known. How on earth are EA allowed to get away with distributing this low standard of software.
