Fit for purpose (2008-05-10)

Bought this as a reserve player for when my 20gb one needs charging, it's a Creative so I bought with confidence and it does the trick without fuss and for me is ideal. What more do you want? It has no display, but that is evident and I don't need one - shame other's don't actually have the savvy to check out what they are buying first then slagging it off when they themselves are at fault for being so stupid.
OK but volume is too soft!! (2008-04-06)

OK the saying applies here "beggars cant be choosers".For less than 20 pounds u get 2GB, lightweight, with a shuffle function and the other normal functions. Also it has an in-built USB charger.Downside is the volume is way too soft and when you buy it do remember that it doesnt come with the earphones. So get one with volume control. And there is no display. If you can live with this, then this is ok.My advice>> spend a bit more get something better.

with any device like this it depends what purpose you want it for. i wanted small, long battery life, quality play back and cheep. i got all of this from this little player. i bought a pair of Sennheiser CX 300 headphones at the same time, they work very well together. im using this daily while running with the player just dropped inside my pocket. in this situation i find the lack of a screen no loss at all, as i just switch tracks without taking it out of my pocket. i was using a tecknet player prior to this and that was just awful, same storage but had a screen and wasnt in anyway user friendly, sounded rough as well.
mp3 tracks jump like they are scratched (2008-01-20)

which I've never come across before. I got this for my daughter and painstakingly downloaded many of her favourite songs on it - love the look of it and the fact that it appears in itunes on my mac makes life easier too.But when she went to play them back, many of them jump like a scratched record, skipping away like nobody's business.I tried to delete them all and start afresh and managed to seriously crash my OSX computer, no mean feat! Now the device says it has 1.7Gb space and no tunes on it, yet it will play all 200 that I loaded on there - badly, of course!Very very peculiar. I will give it one more go, and unless I get some advice on here, I reckon it will be going back. Got my son a real cheapo MP3 player a few months back and touch wood, it has been absolutely fine: chose this for her as I had problems with a Sandisk player not showing on my Mac and then got her a cheap Technika one from Tesco that died after first use ... we seem fated not to have an MP3 player!

This is an excellent piece of musical playing kit. It has plenty of storage and no worries about charge time. It obviously has no display and you would be retarded if you thought there was one for only £20 and 2GB.Definitely buy this it is great! and ultra light so it can go in you pocket or hold it without problems while running.Buy Buy Buy - it is great great great - (no display but why would you need one on a 2GB player?)
