MARYANN (2008-07-20) I STILL LOOK TO SEE IF CONNIE HAS DONE ANY MORE SONGS. I GUESS SHE HAS TO GROW UP SOME MORE AND CARRY ON WITH SCHOOL WORK THAT BEING FAR MORE IMPORTANT. BUT MYSELF AND ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WILL WATCH AND WAIT. I HAVE CONNIES WHOLE ALBUM IN MY MP3 PLAYER AND I ALWAYS PLAY IT WHEN I NEED SOME TIME TO MYSELF I LOVE EVERY SONG SHE HAS SUNG AND HER PARENTS MUST BE SO PROUD OF HER. SO HURRY UP AND GROW UP WE ARE ALL WAITING. ALL THE BEST MARYANN.
She's good considering she's six but too soon! (2008-05-12) The music is basically Crap. The music sounds like it was made with cheap Early learning centre instruments and is basically hankering the chances of Connie making it when she's older. Her voice is good for a six year old, she's got the basics, but because of her age she can't physically produce a fantastic sound she hasn't got the strength yet. One day I could proably bet she'll be a great singer but not yet.
So what ? (2008-01-20) Yes , the music is crap , the cover is a cheap Christmas product . So what ? Connie touched our hearts each & every time . I bet you won't find another angel in the next few years . Last time was ... Shirley Temple ?
Over The Rainbow - Connie Talbot (2007-12-31) I listened to a few of these songs when the cd was played in one of my local shops. I listened for a short time and liked just what I heard, I then heard some further songs from youtube. Connie has such an adorable voice for a 6 year old child and she is certainly very brave. when I saw the album I could not believe that it was her who was singing. I just had to get it, good luck Connie, I think the best song she sang, in which I keep listening too is Ben, she sings it so nicely.I am sure anyone who buys her album certainly will not be disapointed.
Money for old rope (2007-12-27) Oh dear. The cute factor plays its trump card, causing thousands of people to fork out their hard-earned cash on a "sweet" but utterly pointless christmas cash-in product.Having listened to the album, it is nothing but standard fare with the additional novelty of Connie being just 6 years old. The musical arrangements stick to the bare essentials with the orchestration sounding like the record company issued a £50 Argos voucher to spend on instruments. As for the songs - chances are, you've got them already in far superior versions. For example, the arrangement of Lennon's "Imagine" is borderline sacrilege, being a straight-up performance rather than one that connects with the background and meaning of such a powerful and influential song. When all is said and done, the album is selling on two novelties: youth and Christmas, and novelty records simply have no longevity or lasting value. It'll end up in the back room of a charity shop along with the other 500 donated copies of Hear'Say's album. So please, give Connie back her childhood and don't encourage record companies to churn out more of this cheap-and-cheerful pap.
