The best album of 2008 (2008-07-29)

`E=MC2' is definitely the greatest album I've heard this year! Perhaps you could call me biased since I'm a hardcore fanatic of Mariah Carey, but seriously, I really do never get tired of listening to this album. The album is packed with top-notch R&B slow-jams, like acoustic supreme `Thanx 4 Nothin`', and piano-guided wafers `Last Kiss', `Bye bye' and `I stay In Love'.Plus, there's up-tempo tracks `Migrate', the blurry synths in `Side Effects' and mid-tempo booty-shakers, `I'm that Chick' and `Touch my Body'. Ballad `Love Story' is lifted with delicate chords and easy-listening reggae joint `Cruise Control' features Damien Marley. Sexy party banger `I'll be Lovin' You long Time' is super fast and happy-going, while elegant smoothie 'Bye Bye' will make your eyes leak!The ice-cool beats and violin riffs in mid-tempo `For the Record' will simply blow you away with the lovely production and bonus track `Heat' is fast, furious and has a crystal clear punchy beat. If you're looking for an album with a mixed assortment of Genres, then buy `E=MC2'. I also recommend you download `4real4real' (feauting Da Brat) from iTunes. This album is oozing with summery, happy-vibrant songs. Definitely my fave album this year.

Great Album (2008-07-06)

As another reviewer said Mariah Carey sure is in a league of her own.This is a great Album, although I think she has played a little safe after all this time we've been waiting for a new album.However its got some great tunes and if you like her other albums you should like this too.

MARIAH CAREY "E=MC²" (2008-06-22)

If you ask me, Mariah Carey is without doubt in a league of her own in the music industry, her vocal ability is simply stunning, and she never fails to even slightly disappoint each time she releases an album. "E=MC²" is Mariah's 11th studio album and is quite similar to her last album "The Emancipation Of Mimi" which became the biggest selling album of 2005. Mariah tends to be on the end of comments like "she's trying to be hip-hop" far too often and unless you've followed her work, you'll know this clearly isn't the case, Mariah's always had R&B style songs and working with rappers has been a gradual process. The album opens with "Migrate" (featuring T-Pain) and the song starts with Mariah's whistle note before the "Bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce" kicks in, there's a high chance that this will be a future single off the album as Mariah has said she wants to release it. "Touch My Body" (Mariah's 18th #1 single) is next and is surely known by anyone and everyone by now, it's a great catchy midtempo track that shows Mariah's fun side with the lyrics. "Cruise Control" features Damien Marley and Mariah joins him by singing a couple of lines with a Jamaican accent, again showing another side of her having a fun time. "I Stay In Love" is next which has to be the best ballad on the album, it's similar to Mariah's 16th #1 single "We Belong Together" but her voice is sounds more powerful here. People who are fans of Mariah's ballads will be pleased to know there are quite a few on this album, "Love Story," "Last Kiss," "Thanx 4 Nothin'," "For The Record," "Bye Bye" and "I Wish You Well" are all slower songs and show Mariah's voice isn't going anywhere. The uptempo tracks are also here with "I'm That Chick," (which samples Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall") "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time," (which is possibly Mariah's best uptempo song of her whole career, it's the perfect choice for the 3rd single) "O.O.C." and "Heat" - Young Jeezy features on "Side Effects" which shows how Mariah is still haunted from her divorce. It's good to see Da Brat feature on "4Real4Real" as she's one of Mariah's best friends and know she isn't only working with rappers who are very popular at the moment. The album doesn't disappoint in any way and Mariah's definitely going nowhere but up in the charts.

Beautiful (2008-06-06)

This Album is the remake of the previous one, same ingredients which give us a real pleasure in terms of eclecticism. Combinations between blues vocal songs , rn'b songs, this will give a nice picture of what MC uses to provide again. I love the song that chick, and many others...Not the best from her, not that bad either...Enjoy!

It was like she never went away (2008-05-31)

I love this album, i think it could be even better than emecaption of mimi but that is just my opionion.My favourite tracks are migrate featuring t-pain, this is a defiente club banger. Side effects featuring young jezzy,great song one of my favourite cuts on the album. Cruise CONTROL featuring damaina marley is another stand out track.i'm that chicklast kisslove storythanx 4 nothingoocbye bye- this song makes me cry because in december last year i lost my grandad, i think this is a beautiful ballad.For the record is another great song COP THIS ALBUM NOW!
