Astrid Peth, waitress from the Planet Sto, was working aboard the Spaceship Titanic. Astrid had always dreamed of seeing the stars and setting foot on an alien world, but had never been able to afford the trips. The Doctor took her as his guest to Earth on Christmas day and she was overjoyed to set foot on a new world. When returning to the ship, it was struck by 3 meteoroids and disabled. Astrid was amongst the survivors who tried to reach the ships bridge alongside the Doctor. When the Doctor went to confront the instigator of the strike, Max Capricorn, Astrid realised that to save the Doctor, she needed to sacrifice herself. Astrid, along with Capricorn, fell into the atomic engines of the ship. Unable to save her completely, the Doctor was able to teleport her falling body away from the engines and out into space where she dissipated amongst her beloved stars. The heavenly hosts, Robot Service Drones aboard the spaceship Titanic, were used to maintain the ship and do heavy manual labour. However, their programming was overridden by the Titanics insane owner, Max Capricorn. After meteors struck the Titanic, the hosts went through the ship killing the survivors until the Doctor became their new master. They then helped him save the Titanic from crashing into Earth on Christmas day.
