VGA cable adaptor Insight (2008-09-05) I recently bought this cable in hope to link my Wii console to my Samsung LCD 19" monitor, reading the other reviews I thought this would be perfect for the job, however on linking the two via the cable, all I got was "not optimum mode, recommended mode: 1680 x 1050 60HZ".The only way I found to fix this problem was to connect the Wii up to a HD TV and then select the 480p choice in the settings. The new settings now work for the Wii games but any emulator or Gamecube games have that same first error message. Just a heads up for anyone purchasing this make sure you know what you're doing or know that you have a compatible monitor, I tried mine on 3 different monitors.
720p (2008-08-15) This cable works fine for my PS3 on a Samsung monitor. It can't handle 1080 though, just 720p. The image is very sharp though, no problems with blurring at all. Sound is pumped out with both split(red & white) jacks and a combined jack if your sound system needs that instead, so no worries there either.
Way Too Blurry! (2008-07-20) Playstation 3 Ps3 Nintendo Wii Vga Monitor Cable LeadI BOught this cable a few days ago and it arrived in the post yesterday - after quite a lot of hassle with switching the settings and plugging the vga cable in my monitor , I switched on the Wii , hoping for a crystal clear image , but all that i got was an extremely blurry menu which half the text was unreadable.I tried out paper mario and the graphics were so blurred I had to squint to even realise where my character was :SIt is definately not my monitor - as I have tested it with other systems and it works PERFECTLYAnyway , If anyone has a solution to this problem please email me :D
Wii/Ps3 Vga Cable Review (2008-07-11) Generally this is a good product, set up in less than a minute and the quality is great (only tried with wii as I don't own a ps3 yet). The problem is that every 4-5 minutes the screen will go black for 2 or 3 seconds which gets rather irritable. I'm not sure why this happens but it does the same with brawl and the wii menu. I'm still searching for a reason why this happens and a solution.Overall this is a neat cable which comes with a headphone adapter and a female/female adapter if you have a different connection. If there is an easy way to solve the flashing screen problem I would definitely recommend this item.
Excellent (2008-06-02) Used to use a VGA box for playing my Wii on a PC monitor, but it blurred the picture and would only work in 50hz. This cable produces a crystal clear image, runs at 480p and 60hz.I've read a few comments about the image blacking out for a second once in a while and I've come across the problem, but only when I'm playing imported NTSC games. My PAL games all work perfectly.I tested the cable on a PS3 too, it took a while to get it set up, but once I did, it ran perfectly. Well worth the price.
