The internationally recognised 'people's tenor' Russell Watson's previous 'Ultimate Collection' is reissued here with abonus disc containing a live concert at London's Royal Albert Hall. The aspect that comes across most in this wide-ranging collection is Watson's versatility, ably tackling as many soul and pop tunes as he does straight Classical pieces. Indeed, the bonus live material shows this more than anywhereelse, with Watson showcasing this adaptability on a versionof the R&B standard 'Try A Little Tenderness'. Elsewhere, we see him duet with ex-Steps singer Faye Tozer on 'Someone Like You' and, bizarrely, Shaun Ryder on 'Barcelona'.

This is not opera (2008-08-31)

Russell Watson is not an opera singer but a pop singer who for some reason has made a little talent go a long way and has been quite successful here in the in the uk, due to serval TV shows.If you want to listen to a real tenor try Domingo or good old Pavarotti now these men can sing and have been in many opera's. What opera has Russell Watson been in?

Ultimate collection (version 2) (2008-05-30)

The first Ultimate collection was a single CD version released in 2006, this one is a reissue of that album plus a second disc of slightly more varied songs (less opera arias and more popular tracks) recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall.For those who already have the original Ultimate version this should be a welcome addition to the collection, for the bonus disc is a worthy add-on rather than just a typical 'bonus disc' of alternative songs intended to boost sales.And for those who have none of Russell's albums (where have you been?!) this is a perfect introduction to his singing.
